Physical Education is a valuable addition to any child’s schedule. Physical activity boosts confidence, motivation, and self esteem. It enhances a child’s ability to concentrate, maintain focus and can improve their physical and mental wellbeing. This helps children to manage stress and increases academic attainment.

PE teachers work enthusiastically with children from primary age to GCSE and A Level, and teach students of a range of abilities. Over the years, junior athletes have been trained, children inspired to take up new sports, and played a role in supporting children to overcome mental health challenges. For GCSE and A Level students, academically rigorous lessons are delivered on anatomy and physiology, sport psychology, and fitness and wellbeing. Our students develop excellent subject knowledge and hone their exam technique.

Our goal is to get more young people active and involved in sports – we have seen the benefits it brings! PE teachers hold UK teaching qualifications and experience coaching their specialist sports. The sports specialisms of the PE team includes athletics, football, rugby, cricket, tennis, basketball, martial arts, yoga, and golf.

"Marco is a fantastic martial arts teacher for my son. He is relatable, motivating and a great role model. My son has ADHD and so much energy in the classroom. Martial arts has enabled him to channel this energy in a positive way. The breathing techniques and self defence activities that they practice together have really helped my son to focus, exercise self control, and regulate his emotions."

"Professional, organised and experienced, Annie has been a brilliant addition to our home school team. Her interest in sport is infectious and she has shown my daughter that sports like football, cricket and golf are for girls as well as boys. Thank you for all your help this term!"
