Economics is not about money. It’s a way to see the world and a lens of great power and beauty. It can help us understand everything from the stock market to marriage and divorce to elections to the decisions you make in everyday life. Once you understand the fundamental concepts – supply and demand, opportunity cost, market equilibrium, monopolies – you start to see it in your everyday life: the news, the supermarket and at school. Economics equips you with the skill set and vocabulary to predict and explain decisions at an individual and group level.
